Chris Christie Not Peeved NJ Gov Murphy Name on Supreme Court Decision
Whatever former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's legacy will be, one thing is certain: It was he who paved the way for a landmark decision in the US Supreme Court that now allows states to offer legalized sports betting.

Christie spoke Tuesday at this year's G2E show. When and expressed why he wasn’t too disappointed that current Governor Phil Murphy’s name (and not his) appears in the title of the Supreme Court.
“It’s not like I’m lacking in name ID," he said.
New Jersey has since become the poster child of legalized sports betting in the US with Iowa and Indiana looking to become the next states to duplicate its success. A handful of other states have been less fortunate.
Iowa has one stumbling block it must overcome - and likely will in two years. That state requires anyone looking to place a bet via their mobile devices to first register at one of the casinos.
“Don’t make people have to sign up and/or collect at brick-and-mortar establishments,” Christie said on Tuesday.
The state he once governed allows for registration remotely via one's smartphone.
New Jersey has more than a dozen sportsbooks online but only two have truly cornered the market: FanDuel and Draftkings. Both control nearly three quarters of the market share.
